Profile: James Synge

James is the Loft’s Accountant and reports to the Board regularly on the state of the company’s finances. He also ensures that the bookkeeping and accounts are properly kept, liaises with the external auditors, and submits documents as necessary to public bodies. He also helps out regularly in the bar.

James qualified as a management accountant ‘too many years ago to remember’, and after stints in large companies holding increasingly responsible positions, he started his own practice in 2000, retiring in 2018.
