Notes
The Warwick and Leamington Dramatic Study Club (later the Leamington and Warwick Dramatic Study Club, and now better known as the Loft Theatre Company) was founded in May 1922 and initially devoted itself to the reading and study of plays, at meetings which took place for the most part in members’ homes.
The Silver Box was the first play to be given a staged performance by the fledgling club, on Saturday, March 24, 1923 at Spencer Street Congregational School Hall.
